We believe culture is like an elephant. Yes, you read that correctly.
In the ancient Indian fable, The Blind Men and the Elephant, a group of visually impaired persons try, and fail, to describe how a pachyderm looks like. Limited by the narrow perspective offered by their keen sense of touch, combined with each only being able to feel a different part of its body, they all come up with entirely different descriptions of the animal. Even though all were partly right at describing its appearance, all of them were wrong. None had the opportunity to actually see the elephant as a whole!
This is typically what happens when culture is addressed. Commonly it is mostly linked to ethnicity, while in fact culture is the collective social institutions, customs, intellectual expressions, values, and the way of life of a particular group. We are all connected to and participate in different cultures. And those cultures have unique personalities with traits that are influenced by the environment, technology, as well as other cultures around them.

It is a process that promotes tools that help us better understand audiences, their behaviors and expectations, values, motivations and needs that prompt their actions. Design thinking directs creative considerations which deliver implementations that feel authentic and personal to the intended audience.

Our company is built on targeting a multicultural America, focusing significantly in Texas, yet conducting business outside of the Lone Star State. Through the many opportunities to communicate with and mobilize multiple audiences, locally, state-wide, and elsewhere in the country, we have gained a deep understanding of our communities, their diversity, and how to better connect with them. Our work with Hispanics has always been an integral part of our DNA, and given its importance, we have been able to establish great relationships within and knowledge of the African American community. Basically, every project we’ve ever worked on, directly or indirectly, has targeted diverse audiences.

Rooted in the Capital City, we are committed to contributing to its continuous improvement. Austin is not only our home, but our kids’ playground, and most importantly their future home. As bilingual and multicultural professionals from diverse backgrounds, we contribute to keeping Austin weird, creative, and inclusive.
